We drew Aera the way Melbourne draws a building — from the edge in. Take away everything that isn't holding the lens, and what's left is the idea.

Aera is drawn in featherlight Japanese titanium — 30% lighter than steel, corrosion-resistant and nickel-free. Every frame closes on a sprung German hinge, flex-tested to twenty thousand cycles.
